Our organ

From the early discussions with our architects, it was always the intention to move the pipe organ from the old Bournemouth Park URC building and rebuild it in the new church, which explains the excellent position it occupies today.

The work – carried out by our organ builders “The Village Workshop” of Braintree, during 2011/12 – included replacing the reconditioned humidifier with a new one to address the very low humidity in the new building.

We welcomed Richard Lennox (organist and keyboard player of ASO Prom Praise renown) to perform our opening concert on 9 May 2015, and he has returned to give a couple more outstanding concerts on the organ since.

We acknowledge and thank God for everyone who has had any part in our organ history since 1876!
